    DongYuan Electrical Group Uses the Latest Equipment from JFY

    Jiangsu DongYuan Electrical Group Co. Ltd. in Tongzhou City, Jiangsu, China is a joint venture of Dong Yuan Electrical and ABB. ABB is a global leader in power and automation technologies for utility and industry customers. It operates in 100 countries with 104,000 people worldwide.

    The first Chinese company to manufacture high- and low-voltage switches for mechanical, electrical, and power departments, DongYuan features an advanced assembly line and mechanical processing with a high level of quality control. The company received ISO9002 certification in 1998.

    But one of the highest priorities for DongYuan is new product development. The corporation has long-standing cooperation with regional research institutes, along with an in-house research program for product and technology development. With their focus on quality and development, DongYuan was looking for manufacturing equipment that met their exacting standards.

    To produce their latest products, incorporating advanced technology introduced from ABB, DongYuan chose an APSS right-angle shear and MCZ bus bar machine from Jiangsu Jinfangyuan CNC Machine Tool Company (JFY).

    Guorong Diao, workshop chief at DongYuan, says they will use the APSS automatic punch and shearing system to build metal enclosures and the MCZ for bus bar punch and bending. He says the company was looking for equipment that could satisfy their needs in five major areas:

    • Equipment performance equal to the best international standards
    • Quality in line with DongYuan standards
    • Increased work efficiency
    • Flexibility to match quickly changing market demand
    • Improved efficiency in material usage

    DongYuan evaluated equipment from Finnpower, JFY, and one other company. They chose the equipment from JFY because it met all of their needs at an excellent price, active installation help and debugging for trial production, and good after-sale service.

    The power is on for JFY

    Jiangsu Jinfangyuan CNC Machine Tool Company Limited is the biggest manufacturer of CNC turret punching and precision laser-cutting machines in China. It is also the first metal-forming enterprise to achieve ISO 9001 certification.

    The DongYuan sale is just the latest in a number of expansion moves for the company. They have also recently signed a three-year agreement with Foremost Machinery Corporation in Northbrook, Illinois to distribute their equipment in the U.S. market. Foremost General Manger Greg Sweigert, who visited DongYuan recently, says, “The fact that the JFY machines met the stringent requirements at DongYuan says a lot. We expect the combination of quality and cost to be attractive to many companies in our market as well.”
